I watch too much Youtube.

I’ve suddenly become addicted to beauty vloggers and their channels.

I’m obsessing over make-up.

I hardly use make up.

However, I do have a bit of a make-up stash.  While I don’t  usually wear it, I love buying it.

Watching all those Youtube videos made me decide to start using it.

However, all those Youtube videos make me want to BUY ALL THE MAKEUP!

My mom and I recently went to Ulta and purchased about $200 worth of make up products.  It’s a good thing we decided to split the cost!

It’s so easy to get sucked up into the world of make up.  Those beauty vloggers really know how to sell a product and make me drool over them.

Shimmer eye shadow to make your eyes pop.  Highlighter to brighten and make your face look awake.  Liquid lipsticks.  High end brushes.

Seriously.

Hashtag.  The struggle is real.

We have been watching Masha and The Bear for a long time.  Click here for my first blog post about this super cute animated series.

We’ve been watching it in Russian and on Youtube for years now.

Earlier this month, Masha and The Bear joined Netflix… IN ENGLISH!

Now, M had been watching Masha in English for awhile now since they started showing the English versions on Youtube.  But when we discovered that Masha was joining Netflix, it’s like we’ve fallen in love with the series all over again!

There are nine episodes on Netflix.  Each episode contains 3 different stories, all of which we have seen in Russian and loved.

While we always were able to pull the storyline from each show based on what we were seeing, it’s great to actually understand the dialogue now that it’s in English.  So super cute! While M used to sing the songs from the show in Russian, M thinks it’s great that she can finally sing along and understand the lyrics in English.I can’t wait for them to release more episodes!  We’ve seriously been watching it every day!

I’ve been seriously considering making videos of my crafting for awhile now.  I started with this quick overview of all the scrapbook layouts I have completed since I started scrapbooking.  I used the Youtube Capture app on my phone.

Please view and if crafting is something you like, consider subscribing to my channel.

I’m in the process of updating my crafting blog, but if you want to check it out, please click here, “CutieQ Cards n Crafts.

Hope you enjoy it!

M loves Youtube.

I think I’ve mentioned this several times before..

There are videos that use pop songs in the background.

There’s one video of a Play Doh Ice Cream Shoppe review that M loves to watch over and over again.  In the background, the song that is playing is Katy Perry’s “Teenage Dream.”  M has seen this video enough that she knows and sings the song.  When she hears the song, she now calls it the “Play Doh Song.”

There’s a fan video of Masha & The Bear using Demi Lovato’s “Two World’s Collide.”  She watches THAT video many times that she also knows and sings the song also.  When she hears this song, she now calls it the “Masha Bear Song.”

Sometimes in the car, she wants to hear those songs.  Lucky for her, I’ve owned those songs for a long time.

“Mimi?  Play Doh Song?”

“Mimi?  Masha Bear Song?”

It’s the cutest thing.  The best part is her singing along…

What pop songs do your toddlers love?

M is so interested in Play Doh that a good number of the videos she watches on Youtube involve playing with a Play Doh set.

Not kidding.

She watches this video where they are reviewing some sort of ice cream making Play Doh toy.  She watches this video where someone is making a rainbow with Play Doh.  She watches this video where they are opening a box of some Play Doh toy and just going over what’s inside and then making stuff with it..

It’s pretty cute how obsessed she seems to be with Play Doh.

I won’t buy her any.

Not that I’m against Play Doh.  I used to love Play Doh as a child.  I remember having so many tubs of it.  I also remember being really careful not to mix my colors together.  So the objects I ended up creating were always just one color.  I didn’t like seeing the colors get all mixed up.

The reason I won’t buy her any is because she sticks toys in her mouth.  Yes, at two years old, she still has a habit of sticking things in her mouth.  The scary thing is, since her mouth has obviously grown, objects fit further into her mouth than before.  So we have been SUPER diligent about the objects that are around her.  There are the obvious play foods and table settings that go into her mouth.  She loves to pretend she’s eating, or having a tea party.  Such a girlie girl.  Then there are toys that should be in her mouth, and that’s why I worry.

She always asks for Play Doh videos, and when she sees actual Play Doh in the stores, she always seems to want it.  I feel really bad about not getting it for her, but it’s for her safety.  I tell her all the time, “I will buy you Play Doh when you no longer put random things in your mouth.”  So far, she hasn’t shown me that she’s matured in this aspect, so.. no Play Doh.

I can’t wait until she is old enough for it all.  I can’t wait to play with the Play Doh with her.  Maybe I’ll show her that it’s ok to mix colors.  Maybe that’s more for me than for her.  I shudder to think of the icky brown color that will result when all the colors eventually get smushed together.. :::shudder:::

Thankful November:
November 13 – I’m thankful that my daughter has the opportunity to discover new toys and new experiences through technology.  I’m thankful that she is blessed with these opportunities to grow and learn and develop.

Youtube changed their app icon on my phone.

The only way M knew the Youtube app was through that icon.  Now, it changed.

Even I couldn’t find it at first.

Well, I guess we all have to adjust.

Even the app changed a bit.  It’s taking a little bit to get used to.  And M will have to readjust.  She was so good at navigating Youtube before this recent update.

She’s a toddler.  Toddlers adapt easily.  I’m sure she’ll be fine.

She’s inherited my lack of patience.  I’m waiting anxiously for the wailing to begin when she starts to figure out that her beloved “Ah-tube” has changed a bit.

Did you get the new Youtube update?

M has been having fun discovering the joys of Youtube videos.  She totally knows how to navigate from one video to the next.

It’s actually quite surprising how she can get from Mother Goose Club videos to Mickey Mouse videos to her Masha and the Bear videos to phonics song videos.. and she hardly asks for help.

She is also very proud of her navigation skills.  We often hear her saying, “Ah found it” when she comes across a video she is familiar with.

“Minnie!  Ah found it!”
“A club, ah found it!”
“Doc!  Ah found it!”
“Masha beah, ah found it!”

The cutest part about it all is that she has to physically come to my side to tell me she found it.

I can be all the way across the room from her and she will walk through everything just to come up to me, look me in the eyes, and tell me, “Ah found it!”

She’s got the look of such pride and joy in finding her video.

In fact, it’s not always a video.. it can be a toy she found in one of her bins, or a picture of a character in one of her coloring books.. anything she finds, she loves to proudly proclaim that she found it.

You can’t help but feel so excited for her!  She found it!
