I love to color.

I’ve recently discovered my love for Traveler’s Notebooks.

Combine the two and, “Poof!”  Yellow Paper House adult coloring books.

Yellow Paper House is an Etsy shop that specializes in various inserts for the Traveler’s Notebook system.  Visit the shop here for the full selection of items they offer.

Purchasing these coloring books were the first purchase I have ever made with this shop and I’m in love.

They offer three volumes of coloring books, but I decided to only get two because I wasn’t really into the third volume.  However, after getting through the first volume and working on the second, I’m definitely feeling the urge to purchase the third.

The paper quality is AMAZING!  I am currently using the Crayola Fine Line Markers to color in the book and there is NO bleed through or shadowing.  It’s amazing!  I’ll be posting photos of my colored pages in a future blog post about adult coloring.

For now, here are two examples of coloring pages that these books have to offer.

This is from the Volume One coloring book.  Simple patterns.  Fun images.  I love it!

I’m super excited to finally get into this book.  The patterns look so fun.  I could see myself getting lost in the pages and enjoying the coloring process.

I love Harry Potter.  I love coffee.  I love mugs.

When I saw this, I HAD to have it.

I loved it so much, I bought more than one and shipped it out to my brother, another Harry Potter fan!

The Pink Polk Dot Custom Creations is an only store found on Etsy.  Click here to go directly to the shop.  This shop has so many different designs on mugs and reusable coffee cups.  This shop even has glitter dipped items!

Glitter!

There is an endless selection of items in this shop.

The mug arrived packaged so secure.  It came in very good condition.  As you see in the photo below, the shop owner adds a bit of flair and fun in her packaging.  I totally loved the little purple tinsel.  It was such a cute way to make her packaging stand out from other shops.

Customer service is also excellent.  The shop owner responds so quickly and is so accommodating and friendly.  That personal and friendly service is why I love shopping small.

I’ve already used mine several times, and I still get a kick out of it!  I absolutely love it!

To clean the mug, the shop specifies that it should not be soaked and should not be placed in the dishwasher.  These mugs are to only be handwashed.

Seriously, isn’t it the greatest?!

Click here for the direct link to the item.

Supporting the small shop community has kind of been my thing lately.  I respect the hard work of every ‘momtrepreneur’ out there.  It’s tough working from home, juggling the kids, and trying to keep a business running.  I should know.  I promised myself I would try to shop small and from the handmade community as much as I can and that I will try my best to promote them in my small corner of the Internet.  So, here we go!

This sweater is from Fresh Apparel.  They specialize in various sweaters, T-shirts, and tank tops for children and adults.

This has got to be one of my favorite designs they have.  I’m definitely ‘living that mom life’ and love wearing this sweater during these cool spring mornings.  It’s soft and super comfy.

Yup, that’s me!

However, I do know that this sweater is a seasonal item for the shop.  I believe that by the time this blog post publishes, this sweater is no longer available until next fall.  I’m still featuring it on the blog because I would love for you to visit their website and check out all the other awesome items and designs they offer!

Visit them on Facebook at Fresh Apparel for my information about the shop and their products.  Don’t forget to visit their shop directly at Fresh Apparel.

Happy shopping!

I’m in one of those moods again..

Where I want to take on a new hobby.. or a new life-changing project.. or something..

I’m in one of those inspired moods where I feel like I can start a new business.. or a new blog.. about something I’m inspired to do..

I wanna make a craft blog.. and post all the stuff I do.. and possibly sell it..  like the million other crafty people out there doing the same..

I wanna make a small etsy or ebay business doing cross-stitching.. like the million other cross-stitch ebay/etsy users out there..

I want to take on some major project..

But then again.. who has time..

I’ve got a baby on the way.. this “major life-altering project” can only last about 5 months before I lose all my time to a newborn..

Hahah.. like all my moods of this manner.. this too shall pass..

I just thought I’d share..

Things I think I would like to do in the near future:

Participate in a blog hop:
I visit several crafting blogs and they always seem to have blog hops.. or do cute blog-community sorta things.  So it’s a random thing I want to participate in.. maybe when life settles down a bit..

Start a craft blog
I like doing my cards and my crafting things.. why not make a blog.. and be famous in the “craft world” like those people I tend to frequent..

I’m such a nerd… but.. moving on!

Start a blog based on a one-year personal project:
Ok.. so I’m totally stealing this idea from that whole Julie/Julia movie.. I’m getting up there in age.. I feel my life is slightly stagnant.. why not force myself to go through a one-year self-discovery sort of project.. it’s like high-tech middle age syndrome for Generation-Y.. Or is it Generation-X.. I don’t even know what Generation “Letter” I should associate with!

Start a little business
I like making cards.. why not get paid for it.. I’ve got a cute little business name in my head too.. and it’s not like I want this to be something that I will totally abandon my career in the biotech industry for.. it’s just something for a little extra spending cash.. cha-ching.. cha-ching!

Ok.. so a lot of it has to do with crafting and blogging..

Ugh.. NERD!
