Living life in the carpool lane..

So, I’m still convincing Hubby to guest blog for me.  I  keep telling him that he can pretty much write about whatever he wants… sorta.

I still think it’s a good idea.  I still think it will provide readers with additional insight on our lives.. and our lives as parents..

I really think it’s a good thing..

But, in the meantime, I think I’ve found a guest blogger!

Trust me, this all sounded good in my head.  I’m hoping this executes just as cute as I’m thinking it will be..

The guest blogger is.. M!

Without further ado, here’s my 22-month old daughter, M.  Interview-style.  And believe me when I say that I made sure SHE did all her own typing.

Me:  So M, how’s life so far?
M: ////////////hhhhhh b sx (Translation: Good.)

Me:  What do you like to do for fun?
M: zfzffw4455 (Translation: I love teapots.  I like watching all the DVD’s my parents have given me.  I can’t forget, I LOVE playing with my iPad.  I especially love surfing through Youtube videos.)

Me:  Why can’t you sit still?
M: v       rr (Translation: Mom, I’m a year old.  What do you want from me?!)

Me:  Ok, one more question since you obviously don’t want to be sitting with me right now.  How do you rate me and Daddy’s parenting skills?!
M: prffffffffffff (Translation:  Considering the fact that I’m still alive, and I’m super happy most of the time, I’d say that you are both doing a great job.  I love you, kiss!)

Ok, so I may have embellished a little bit.  But don’t you think that’s what your kid would say if you asked them those questions?!

A few days ago on Facebook, Disney Baby posted a blog post on “10 Funny Things You Find Yourself Doing Now That You’re A Mom (or Dad)”

It’s pretty funny and I totally relate to a few.

The Phantom Cry
Guilty as charged!  I’ve especially when M was a newborn.  I’d hear her cry from another room, only to find out that it was all my imagination..

A Love For Kid’s Music
I’ve been known to belt out a few Fresh Beat Band tunes in the car on my way home from work.  I also know every theme song to every show M watches on Disney Jr and Nick Jr.  It helps a lot in when M is feeling restless in the car.  I can always distract her with the theme song from Special Agent Oso or Doc McStuffins.. Yes, I take requests.

Why Are You Swaying Like That?
I’ve heard this question a bajillion times.  I’ve been seen swaying while standing in Church while Hubby is carrying M.  I’ve had the hand on my back several times telling me, “You can stand still, you aren’t holding the baby.”  It’s good for a little giggle every now and then.. why can’t I stop swaying?!

Pat, Pat, Pat
Definitely guilty here!  I “pat, pat” so much that whenever I hold M, she starts to “pat, pat” me!  Don’t get me started on the “pat, pat” of others.. it’s just too much patting!

Wipes Are The Magical Cure All
You can frequently hear me say, “Quick, get me a wipe!” for anything.. It’s so easy, especially when you buy those boxes from Costco!  You have to use them for everything, or else you’ll never make a dent in your stash!

Those are pretty much the ones I seem to identify with the most.  Click the link and read the article and tell me which are the ones that hit home for you!

When you are reading this.. I’m either in the car.. or already there.. VIVA LAS VEGAS!!

It’s my bachelorette party weekend.. and I’m doing it a little differently than most..

My mom and aunts and some other family friends are going.. then my good girlfriends are also going..

Bringing older ladies to my bachelorette?

No it’s not wierd!!

I’ve never really been one for the crazy bachelorette parties where the girls go out and get all super crazy.. in my more mature years.. I’ve settled down quite a bit and would much rather enjoy a nice weekend out with some of the people I love the most in life..

That being said..

We have the day time to hang out and do some fun stuff that is pretty ageless.. I honestly don’t know what my matron of honor has planned.. but I trust it’s fun..

At night.. my girlfriends and I will have some good fun.. party it up in a lounge.. or hang out somewhere fun.. just the girls.. while my mom and her friends hit it up casino-style.. hahaha..

It’s gonna be a fun weekend.. can’t wait!
