Four years.  Nine months.  Eight days.

That’s how old M was when she got her first mani/pedi.

Yes.  A real mani/pedi at a nail salon.  She was in the big massage chair.  She had her feet in the water.  She had a nail tech pamper her.

Yes.

My baby girl.

She was so happy.  The smile on her face was priceless.

She came out of the salon with blue finger and toenails.  She had cute little flower nail art on her thumbs and big toes.  She was so proud of them.

She told me after, “Mommy, I loved it!”

I’m glad.

I can’t wait until she’s truly old enough and mani/pedi dates could be a regular thing for us!

Ok.. so I know I said that ever 10th and 20th of the month would be a Jamberry post.. but this is actually going to be my LAST Jamberry post..

Last month, I resigned as a consultant.

I started in September, and it was going well in the beginning.  Then.. it didn’t go well.

Being on bedrest, all I could do was incessantly post on my Facebook and Instagram accounts.  I’m sure my friends were just so sick and tired of me posting about nails and Jamicures… but that’s literally all I could do.  I couldn’t go out and about and show off my nails.  I couldn’t go to home parties.  I thought it was going to be an easy online-only business.  It seemed easy enough.  Other people made it seem easy, why couldn’t I do it?

Maybe I didn’t have enough friends interested.  Maybe I couldn’t go out and promote the business.  No matter the reason, the business didn’t work for me.

Some people could say I gave up too soon.

Some people could say I didn’t give the business a chance.

Some people could say that every business has it’s ups and downs.. believe me.. I know this.. I’ve been trying to get my handmade cards to sell since 2011 with little success..

Those people may be right.. but I knew in my gut that the business wasn’t working for me.  I had to throw in the towel.  There wasn’t any use in trying when I knew it wasn’t working for me.

I still like the product.  I have many sheets of nail wraps left and I do plan on using them.

It wasn’t them.. it was me…

But now I want to concentrate on what I really truly believe in.. my handmade stuff.

While I know that starting up the CutieQ business again isn’t ideal with the baby coming, I’m definitely brainstorming for my comeback.  The relaunch of my CutieQ blog is the start.  CutieQ is the one business I don’t plan on giving up on.

Jamberry was a great learning experience how to and how not to promote a business.  It’s going to take more than just an online presence for me to get the CutieQ handmade business out there.. Thank you Jamberry for teaching me that..

Every 10th and 20th of the month will feature a Jamberry post.  This is to help promote my business and get the word out.  I appreciate your support of my new business venture and hope that if you order, you order from me.  If you have any comments or questions, please don’t hesitate to leave me a comment.

I’ve only been selling Jamberry since mid-September.  I fell in love with the ease of the application and the price of each wrap.  I could get a fancy nail design for less than what I pay for a basic mani/pedi!

When I signed on as a consultant, I was able to get a few free nail wraps to try out.

While the application wasn’t perfect, I was impressed by the ease and quickness.  I did both hands and feet while M napped.

Another great thing about Jamberry is that they have wraps for the kiddos!  M loves to put on the “nail stickers.”  We mainly put them on her toes, but she’s had them on her hands once.  The only problem we have with putting them on her hands is that she will physically pick them off.  I will probably wait for her to get a little older to start placing them on her hands again, but she LOVES having them on her toes.

This was her first application:

Here is the application we did on her hands.  Like I said earlier, they didn’t last very long only because she physically picked on some of them.  The ones she left alone lasted the guaranteed two week period.

When I first put my set on, I wanted to see if they lasted the guaranteed two weeks.  I also wanted to see how well they did under normal housework conditions (I wasn’t on bedrest anymore when I first got my wraps).  They lasted so well during the guaranteed two weeks despite all the cooking, cleaning and dishwashing.  I was super happy and was hooked on my wraps!

Here is my second application.

I love the pop of color on my accent nail!  This second time around, the application was much better.  It really does take practice.  Each application gets easier and better.

I love this jamicure.  It was fun and fiesty.  I love the ombre pink with the animal print.  Accent nails are super fun to coordinate.  They can really show off a person’s personality!

When I did this jamicure, M wanted to do her nails.  The great thing about the children’s wrap is that they come with two coordinating designs per sheet.  So not only did we have the stripes, we had the flowers and we were able to mix and match them.

Jamberry nail wraps are a fun mommy and me activity!  Super affordable and super easy to apply!

What is a Jamberry Nail Wrap?
It’s a vinyl nail wrap with heat-activated adhesive that can go on your finger nails or your toe nails.

How long do they last?
With proper application, they are guaranteed to last 2 weeks on your fingers and 4 weeks on your toes.

Why do I love them?
They come in so many different designs!  There is a design for every outfit and every occasion and every mood!  You can mix and match different nail designs to match your own personal style.

How does this business work?
This business relies on customers hosting parties and getting their friends to order nail wraps.  Hosting customers can earn free and half-priced nail wraps based on the amount of sales their party earns.  While parties are the best way to get the most out of Jamberry, customers not wanting to host can just place orders when ever they want through my personal website, http://buggyjams.jamberrynails.net/.

My holiday party
This month, I am hosting my own online Jamberry party.  It’s the holiday season and these Jamberry Nail Wraps are the perfect stocking stuffer gift for anyone that loves pretty nails.  The party is going to last for the entire month and I am hoping to get some good sales and leads for more parties.  This party is done completely online and can be participated in by clicking this link, My Holiday Party.  You can place an order at any time AND it will delivered straight to you within 6-10 days.  You don’t have to wait until the party is over to get your goodies!
