I don’t make friends very easily.  It’s a personality flaw that I’ve dealt with my entire life.

I’m shy and terrible at making conversation… until now.

I’m truly starting to believe that one of the reasons we put our kids in various activities is to, not only expose your child to different things, but to give parents a chance to meet other parents.

This must be a real thing, right?

I mean, ever since M started preschool and dance class, I’ve met a lot of other awesome people that I would have never met if she had not been in these activities.

I’m making friends.

I’m talking to people.  I’m learning how to make and sustain a conversation.

Not only are these activities great for M’s social skills, they are helping my social skills out too!

Not kidding!

Why wasn’t it this easy for me when I was school aged?  Did it really take parenthood to open me up?

Better late than never!

Good grief, this holiday snuck up on me!

I can’t believe it’s Thanksgiving!  When did that happen?!  Didn’t we just start November?!

Now I really have to think about Christmas shopping!  I have to be totally prepared and not have that holiday sneak up on me like Thanksgiving has…

So, it’s Thanksgiving.. what am I thankful for..

So so so many things..

I’m definitely thankful for my little family.  Me, Hubby, and M.  I’m thankful for all the little adventures we go through everyday.

I’m thankful for parents.  My parents and hubby’s parents.  They have been such a huge support system for us.

I’m thankful for health.

I’m thankful for happiness.

I’m thankful for love.

There is so many things I’m thankful that I can’t list them all in one post.

Am I the only one that though this holiday caught off-guard?

What are you thankful for?

I’m not really one who celebrates this day.. but.. this year is a special year.. cuz it’s our first Valentine’s Day as a married couple.. and I’m the type of person that likes to celebrate firsts and lasts.. well.. in a way.. this is both.. but I can’t really elaborate on why just yet.. just know that it is kinda both..

Anyway.. the hubs had to work late today.. so we kind of made it a weekend thing..

Friday night we tried to go out to eat.. but I was really car sick after the drive out to the restaurant.. that it really wasn’t too fun in the end..

Saturday.. we spent all day with my besties and their families.. good eats.. good laughs.. good times..

Sunday night.. hubs cooked dinner.. some really yummy steaks.. and homemade mashed potatoes.. steamed veggies.. and sauteed mushrooms and onions..

I’m a pretty spoiled wife.. I loved every bite!

Today.. I had a cute Valentines Day dinner date with my parents.. it’s fun seeing them since I don’t see them as often since I moved out.. we ate “all-you-can-eat” Korean BBQ and my parents totally ate all they could… I couldn’t eat much since my tummy fills up really fast.. but it was very yummy and I’m glad they enjoyed themselves..

I used to be one of those completely bitter people that was very anti-Valentines day.. and in a way.. I still kind of am.. I’m just not really bitter about it.. I figure.. why waste ONE day on being super loving.. the way you treat your loved one on Valentine’s Day should be the way you treat your loved one everyday.. and that’s always been my philosophy..

In a nutshell.. I had a fun Valentine’s Weekend.. spent it with close friends and family… they way its always supposed to be!

It’s Thanksgiving day.. it’s usually a time for everyone to acknowledge everything that they are thankful for.

Well.. I’m especially thankful for the awesome God that has been in my life since day one.  He has given me so many blessings and shown me how strong of a person I really am.  He never gives me anything I cannot handle, and because of that I have learned of the many strengths I have, thanks to Him.

My life would be nothing without Him.  I would have nothing without Him.

I am thankful for my wonderful parents and my wonderful family.. immediate and extended.. who have been nothing but supportive in everything..

I’m thankful that my brief period of unemployment was exactly that.. brief.  I’m thankful that I was able to find a job within a month after quitting my new one.  I’m thankful that I will be starting on Monday.. it’s going to be a new adventure.. and I can’t wait!

I’m thankful for all the wonderful friends I have.. they are a source of happiness and laughs.. I cherish the times I can spend with them.. and hope for many more years of friendship!

I’m thankful for my wonderful boyfriend, who has been absolutely supportive in everything I have done.. who believes in teamwork.. and helps me carry any burden I have gone through.. he’s become such a strong rock of support in my life and I cherish every moment we can spend together.  I’m thankful for having him in my life.. even though he can drive me batty at times.. hahaha..

There are many things I am thankful for.. but I’m sure that if I list them all this blog entry would never end!

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

I would rather email, text, or chat online with a person than talk on the phone.

Ok.. this is where we learn how anti-social I really am.. hahah..

I have never been one that talks on the phone.  I can.. when it’s a boy Im dating.. that’s usually the only time I am really on the phone a lot.

I hardly ever make phone calls.  I hate when I have to call people.  I honestly would rather get people’s answering machine than actually get to talk to them.   It’s wierd.

That’s why I loved it when text messaging became a huge thing.  I am so much better at getting a hold of my friends and family by text messaging or emailing.

My best friend’s and I communicate the best through our emails and texts.

I communicate best with my boyfriend through texts and emails.

Don’t get me wrong, I love personal contact.. but phone calls are something I have always avoided.. I’m not sure why..

I may not talk to you on the phone.. but I can bombard a person with text messages like nobody’s business..
