Living life in the carpool lane..

Potty mouth substitutions..

Posted on: April 9, 2014

After M has repeated several words and phrases she wasn’t supposed to, it finally a wake up call to really start watching what we say.

Here are a few potty mouth substitutions that Hubby and I have adapted in order to keep things clean for little M.

“What the what?!?!”
It’s actually pretty cute to hear M repeat this after me.  Sometimes I’ll say it just to get her to say it again.

“Scoop that!”
This was actually M’s interpretation of “Screw that” one night when we Hubby and I were talking about something.. it just kinda stuck.

“Sonofabits.”

“Sheet”
This is what happens when you are in the middle of saying a curse word, but catch yourself in time to change it.

I’m sure there will be more that will come up as M gets older.

What words do you use, or make up, when you want to say something that you don’t want your kids to repeat?!
