Living life in the carpool lane..

So emotional!

Posted on: January 2, 2013

One thing I’ve noticed as M has gotten older is that she’s very emotional.

If she sees something on TV that looks sad, her eyes tear up or she starts to cry.  It’s not a loud cry, but a soft “this is so sad” cry.

She is also sympathetic.  If she sees a kid crying because they got hurt, she tends to cry as well..

The other day, on Dora the Explorer, she saw a cat on a tree about to fall, and she got so emotional over that.  She was so worried and teary-eyed.  She ran to me for comfort.

She genuinely gets upset when she sees someone else upset, or in some sort of bind.

Is this something your children did?  Is it just a girl-thing?
